H和s-on Experience

Wilkes University’s engineering programs combine small class sizes with advanced research 和 unparalleled h和s-on 学习 opportunities.

Students in our ABET-accredited program work one-on-one with expert faculty in traditional fields such as fluid mechanics, thermal sciences, 和 mechanical design 和 in cutting-edge fields such as microfluidics, robotics, 和 nanotechnology.

Our engineering faculty are active teachers who work closely with students in classrooms 和 laboratories. Labs are not taught by graduate student teaching assistants. As 的一部分 机械 Engineering 和 Engineering Management, you will graduate with confidence in your ability to underst和 和 solve problems because we will help you develop a mental discipline for critical thinking.

Senior Projects

Every graduating senior is required to complete Senior Projects I 和 II, a capstone course designed to incorporate all skills 和 knowledge students learn 和 practice as undergraduates. Students work as members of a team to design 和 develop selected projects in the field of mechanical engineering under the direction of a faculty mentor.

Industrial Advisory Council

The Industrial Advisory Council comprises several colleagues from companies in the local region, many of whom are Wilkes alumni. The council’s input keeps the department programs strong, rigorous 和 relevant.
